Dr Mark Sabaz is a highly qualified clinical neuropsychologist with extensive experience assessing the cognitive and behavioural functioning of adults and children with acquired and developmental brain conditions.

About Dr Sabaz

Dr Sabaz holds general registration as a psychologist as well as specialised endorsement in the practice of clinical neuropsychology with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Dr Sabaz attained his Ph.D. and Master in Clinical Neuropsychology at Macquarie University in 2004. He worked at the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Unit, Liverpool Hospital for over 10 years. He currently holds a position as a Senior Clinical Neuropsychologist at the Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick.
Dr Sabaz sees patients privately at the St George Private Hospital in the Sydney suburb of Kogarah for clinical and medico-legal neuropsychological assessment.

Neuropsychological Assessment

Dr Sabaz assesses adults and children with concerns about developmental or acquired brain conditions. The assessment provides an objective indication of a person’s cognitive and behavioural strengths and weaknesses.

Commonly the assessment will involve examination of:
  • Intellectual ability or IQ
  • Attention, concentration and memory
  • Language
  • Planning, organisation and problem-solving
  • Decision-making and judgement
  • Perceptual abilities
  • Academic abilities (typically in children)
  • Behavioural control/regulation
